God is Moving!

Wow this past weekend we did something that was new for us since we have been here at Point of Grace! We are in the middle of our 6-week super series called "Life 360" and this past weekend's message was called "Broadband Beliefs" and it was all about Jesus' passion for us. At the end of the service we did a quasi-alter call after playing "Mighty to Save" and asked students to stand or raise their hand if they needed a fresh start with God. WE HAD TWELVE STUDENTS START NEW LIFE WITH JESUS ON SUNDAY! That is so stinking amazing! God is moving and it is so exciting to be a part of it! I am always amazed at how God fills in when you take a risk on Him, and I am also consistently amazed at how people respond and how they are drawn to Jesus, when the message is clear and understandable! When people tell me that Jesus is not interesting to students, I am shocked! Jesus is the most captivating individual who ever lived, and the issue is with the communicator when people don't respond. We must put int he extra time and effort to make the message clear, compelling and understandable. Jesus will do the rest! Anyways, work hard at making the service and message clear and people will come running to Jesus, because he is captivating and we all understand our need for a Savior at some level and point in our lives! As one of my man crushes, Andy Stanley, always says, "Do everything you can, and then trust God to take care of the rest."
